Get answers to common questions about Women's Underarm Wax.
Results typically last two to six weeks depending on hair growth, hormones, and your skin care routine. Regular waxing can lead to finer regrowth. We recommend scheduling touch-ups every 3-6 weeks for consistent smoothness.
You may feel brief stinging when hair is removed, but discomfort is usually minimal. We use gentle wax and calming pre- and post-care products. Taking a mild pain reliever beforehand and avoiding caffeine can reduce sensitivity.
Ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long (roughly two weeks growth). Avoid heavy deodorants, exfoliate gently 24 hours before, and skip retinoids or harsh acids near the area. Wear loose clothing to the appointment.
Avoid hot showers, intense workouts, and tight clothing for 24 hours. Apply soothing aloe or our recommended calming lotion, avoid alcohol-based deodorants for 24 hours, and exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
We recommend waiting 24 hours before applying regular deodorants, especially those with alcohol or strong fragrances. If necessary, use a gentle, fragrance-free, alcohol-free product to reduce irritation while skin heals.
Optimal hair length is about 1/4 inch (6-8 mm). Shorter hair may be missed and longer hair can increase discomfort. If too short, wait a week or two; if very long, we can trim slightly before waxing.
